What would you like your patients to know about you?

Dr. Eavey is board certified as an otolaryngologist and also as a pediatrician. He is an unusual resource for patients with ear malformations since he can operate not only for the external microtia but also for the atresia for hearing purposes.

He does active collaborative research with Dr Charles Vacanti for microtia by tissue engineering, made famous a few years ago by ‘the mouse with the ear on its back.” Dr Eavey has devised newer and better ways to fix holes in ear drums and to perform mastoidectomy for cholesteatoma to attempt to maintain hearing as part of an active ear surgical practice. With Drs Jonathan and Christine Seidman he has performed collaborative research for nerve hearing loss as well as for microtia.

He has represented the USA at the World Health Organization several times and has performed many Latin American humanitarian activities for which he has received national honors. He has published many articles and is a full professor at Harvard.
