Boston is an incredible place to live. There are more things to do than there is time to do them. Boston is one of the busiest medical hubs in the world with many top hospitals. Boston is also a historic city and no visit would be complete without walking the “Freedom Trail.” The restaurants in Boston are excellent and will satisfy all tastes. There are many museums including the Museum of Fine Arts, Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, Kennedy Library, and Harvard affiliated museums to name a few.
For the athletically inclined, there are numerous ski resorts and hiking trails in the area as well as full access to the Harvard University athletic facilities. For sports spectators, Boston is home to the Boston Red Sox (baseball world series champions 2004), New England Patriots (Superbowl champions 2003 & 2004), Celtics (basketball), and Bruins (hockey).
There are many cultural events including the Boston Symphony Orchestra, Boston Pops, Boston Lyric Opera, many theaters showing Broadway favorites, Boston Ballet, Shakespeare in the Park in the Summer, Friday flicks (movies shown on the Esplanade in the summer), etc. As a member of Harvard University, all residents can participate in Harvard events.
Lastly, Boston is close to many tourist destinations (beaches, Maine, New Hampshire, Newport, NYC).
